RULES & REGULATIONS

League Commissioners

 

 

 

Game Format

 

  • (3) 15-minute running clock periods (4v4)

  • Stop clock if tied with 2 minutes left in 3rd period

  • 1-minute intermission between periods

  • 3-minute warm-up

 

Overtime (Regular Season)

 

  • 5-minute sudden death running clock period (3v3)

  • If still tied the game will go to a shootout (3 shooters each, then sudden death) – each skater on the team must go before the shootout order resets 

 

Overtime (Playoffs)

 

  • 15-minute sudden death running clock periods (4v4)

 

Offsides & Icing

 

  • No Offsides

  • No Icing

 

 

Body Contact

 

  • Angling

  • Body positioning

  • Incidental contact

 

Penalties

 

  • Minor Penalties – 2 Minutes 

    • Tripping

    • Hooking

    • Slashing 

    • Holding

    • Interference

    • Roughing 

    • High-sticking (non-injury)

    • Too many men

    • Boarding (non-injury)

 

 

 

  • Double Minor – 4 Minutes

    • High-sticking (injury)

    • Elbowing

 

  • Major Penalty – 5 Minutes 

    • Checking from behind 

    • Spearing 

    • Boarding (injury)

 

  • • Misconduct – 10 Minutes & Ejected from the game

    • Abuse of officials

    • Unsportsmanlike conduct

    • Continued aggressive behavior 

    • Fighting

    • 3 penalties by the same player in a single game

 

Suspensions 

 

  • All suspensions will be handed down and enforced by the league commissioners 

  • 3 suspensions will result in a ban from the league

 

Jailbreak

 

  • If a team scores shorthanded then the penalty is negated 

 

Substitutions 

 

  • A team will be able to claim players from the substitutions list if they have 6 skaters + 1 goalie or less

  • Substitutions will be based off the missing players talent level

  • Substitution claims must go through the league commissioners 

  • Only players on the substitution list may be used as a substitute 

  • If a substitute is claimed and more than 6 rosters skaters show for the game the substitute will not be permitted to play

  • Season long substitutes may be granted if the situation demands it 

  • Substitutes will get you to a playable 7 skaters + 1 goalie, no more than that.

    • If you have 4 skaters you will be allotted up to 3 additional skaters from the substitute list

    • If you have 5 skaters you will be allotted up to 2 additional skaters from the substitute list, and so forth.

 

Playoffs

 

  • Single game elimination

  • Highest remaining seed vs lowest remaining seed

 

Penalty Shots

 

  • If a player covers the puck in the crease

  • Clear breakaway

  • 2 steps on last defender
